Rebuilt D16Z6 Turbo
hi, i have a 94 civic si, with about 140,000 miles, and i was going to do a swap, well i changed my mind, becaue of the motor i have now running so good, and i can see the potential in the single cam. Anyway, what would you guys recomend as to what parts to get to rebuild, i was looking at like a steel crank(dont know what brand), Crower rods, JE pistons, and not sure about head work yet. Also what turbo kit, i was looking at the greddy kit, but i like the drag gen. 3 kit more, but i heard the apexi kit is best for the d16z, but i cant find it anywhere, or anything about it. Ill take any advice, please help, recomend other parts, and what to use, i would like to know. thanks

the F max kit is badass. look into that.
they ran 12lbs on a z6 with stock internals and got 220 to the wheels "safely"

there were apexi kits for $1200 at groupbuy. Not sure if they still have them.
$3700 for F max kit? I rather get apexi kit and rebuit internal with that money.

Re: Rebuilt D16Z6 Turbo (bluesolguy)
just read around the Forced Induction forum...there's a lot of info in there and different combinations to try...if you're new to FI, then the Greddy or the Apex would be a good beginner kit...i'm planning on getting a JDM d15 (or another d16z6) this summer and build it up and use a t3/to4e with the max rev manifold so i can retain a/c...and the good thing is i can use everything i have on my car now...just keep reading and you'll find out what you're looking for and what kind of goals you want to achieve...
