Default Rebirth of Slick!

So last summer i sell my honda, then in November i decide to sell off all my parts, i'm done. Between turning 30, living in an area dominated by squid/ghetto ricers, and the bad association....i figured i'd find something new.

I found a 1968 mgb, it was restored 8 years ago (frame off..yada,yada) then sat in a field for the last 5 years. I talk to the guy, make arrangements to go get it, and go yesterday to pick it up. Wouldn't ya know, i get hosed by the old guy, he decided after hearing me talk about it he wants to get it back on the road. Figures!

Well.....i am headed home and get to thinking...one thing lead to another and VOILA! I now have SLICK.....once a hopeless 98 DX, picked over, orphan....now my PRIZE!! (figures i just sold off my ctr parts...dammitt)

I will keep the thread updated as i rebuild it back to where it should be.

What are your goals and such for the build? Do you have anything like, actually set in stone planned?

looks like a fun project
looks like you dont have any major body work to deal with just the replacement of panels and bumpers

I wanted something to beat on. I figure a 00' front end, some fresh VSM and a little suspension tweakage. I have a LS block and a GSR head sitting here. I also have various other parts, so it shouldn't cost much to throw together an ls/vtec/turbo...with a/c. The hatch already had 00' Si doors, dash and seats, and a 3" mandrel bent exhaust.

Best part is...it was 300$
