Reasons for blown Ignitor?
As I was pulling out of my parking spot the other day I heard a pop and my car died. Checked the fuses and one under hood fuse the 15amp far rear left fuse was blown. So I replaced it and no good. All other fuses are fine. Crank the motor pull the plg, smell gas on the plug so I am getting fuel. Ok spark. Check the ignitor getting voltage out of all the wires excpet the far left gree/yellow wire. My diagnosis dead ignitor $100. I had to replace my coil not that long ago due to a bad cap that didn't have the little sping loaded metal bit that rides on the rotor. Here are my questions:
1. Could it have been that the ignitor was also damaged when the coil went and it was only a matter of time?
2. Could there be another place to check along the way? Bad relay? Any idea how to check for that.
Two other things. I get no reading from my after market tach when the motor cranks. Usually the needle jumps when cranking but its dead. Also I just wired from a 1 wire O2 sensor to a 4. Could a misplaced wire be the culprit? THanks in advance and a free 12 pack of the beer of your choice if you can come over and make it run! (bay area)

Re: Reasons for blown Ignitor? (lonefuzzy79)
if something pop than you may have a wire grounded and blowing fuses.
an ignitor may habe gone out also due to the coil previously being damage who knows.
got a question for you though. what are the steps in wiring the 1 wire o2 to 4 wire.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=389454 go here for the O2 sensor wire up but I am not so sure that it works. Anyone else with theories or ideas?
