Default rear wheel bearing

hey all,
i have a 93 si hatch with some bad rear wheel bearing is mess up. i can hear it when the car is rolling. my question is will it be hard to replace it? or is it better to bring it to the shop? will i have to use a machine to press anything? thank you!

pull the wheel off, pull the metal cover off the center of the hub, knock the big nut off and the hub will come off, bring it to a machine shop with a new bearing, have them press it in and then put it back together.

how much will it cost? cant i just buy a whole new hub with the bearing in it?

Yes you can buy a hub bearing assembly. Many people recomend it actually. Look around at some different auto part stores for them. They should be close to $100 per side for the part but they're not hard to change by yourself.

Yes it matters, they will ask you before they can find the right part number.

They are notched differently to allow ABS to work. Depends on how bad it is. I had to take mine to a shop to have it torched off. It was fuxxored
