Re: ecu swap
You will need to provide more details than that.
Do you hear the fuel pump prime? Does the car crank or just go click?
And lastly, why did you swap the ECU?

Hi, thank you for responding with a willingness to assist.. this is the back story on this 2000 civic ex coupe vtec, automatic,
i took off the valve cover and did a valve lash adjustment, after the car was running and together, everything was perfect, i then noticed the first o2 sensor on the cat had an exposed wire and not thinking first i proceeded to repair this wire with a temporary tape up, as i was doing so the wire grounded against the throttlebody intake manifold, it sparked abit and the car proceeded to run fine but at this point i was seeing the flashing D4 light and CEL, i did a code search and came back with the p1298 high voltage load detector and p1798 lock up selenoid, i proceeded to replace them both, no fix, i then thought the ECU was bad so i replaced it and still the same symptoms, as of now the speedometer wont work, the car wont charge, the tranny is banging into gear and it wont engage First gear from a stop, i can only use D2, so i am at square one, it is an obd2, so bfore all was said and done, SUMMARY, i accidentally shorted out the o2 sensor upstream, the car then began the problems listed, it does start and it runs great, the tranny is banging, the D4 light is flashing, and the dash lights are very dim, speedometer is not working, but the rest of the cluster is fine, and it wont charge from The Alternator, it is getting spark, and fuel as it runs as well as it ever did??? i am so stumped, any suggestions, thank you..
