rear gut ek info
Cliff notes at bottom of page.
Hi. I did a search earlier an only found a few things out that i needed to know. And that haynes manual didnt really give any insights either. It lacked details about my specfic model and didnt show any pictures in refrence to my vehicle.
question 1: After i removed the rear seats the support section in the middle still remains. Any idea how to remove this safely in case i want to reuse it later? I was thinkin it wasnt coming out unless i cut and tig weld a patch for it.
Question 2: The back seat safty belt bolts which are bronze in color. When i removed those i didnt notice that the gast tank hung directly under those. Did they alter it's support structure in any way? hope not....
Question 3: Which i think i may have to post in the appreance section, but here goes. Could any one that has gutted thier ek show a few pics of their rear as the haynes manual is very vague. I have allready purchased carpet and a $800 sewing machine used to do interior leather, vehicle carpet etc.. Need pics so i can judge distance i need to cut carpet so it looks like it goes under rear trim pieces. Im a new user an am not allowed to post a request in there yet. thx in advance.
Question 4: Ive noticed some generic strut bar sets on ebay for the ek like so http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...13977
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...96384 are these decent for auto-x and daily driving or just plain junk?
Question 5:Aftermarket or jdm front and rear bumper supports that are light weight, do they exist? Was thinkin of just takin mine out and welding a lighter weight titanium bar across.
Question 6:Such a thing as quick release seat brackets? Something with a realease on it. I get tired of removing my passenger seat when i wanna race in mine. Maybe i should patent this idea tommorow.
Cliff notes: All above questions are in regards to haulin some sheep home for some late night wooly luvins.......(bah babby bah)
