Default rear disk conversion for ek?

iv read a few walkthroughs and they said conflicting things...

what LCAs do i need?

if anyone knows where there is a GOOD walkthrough with lotsa info that would be awsome!

look in the FAQ, There is an *** load of brake swap articles in there. Check the one that says EK in the title, he sounds like he knows whats up.

You keep your stock LCAs.

Stock LCAs are fine. The HB prop valve is the same as the Si, but you will not need them for the rear disks.

i believe the only time you need to change the prop. valve is when you upgrade to teg brakes. I know that the only time you need to change lcas are when you want to add a swaybar or in some retarded cases just to add bling....the oem ones are fine to reuse(I swapped mine out for oem gsr ones in order to run a rear sway bar though). If you plan on doing it all yourself here's my suggestions:

-Buy a shitload of liquid wrench or something similar(I went through almost 2 full cans when I did mine on my eg a couple of weeks ago)

-use a good 1/2" drive socket set(I broke 2 3/8" drives)

-have a good/accurate tq. wrench

-a nice breaker bar using slow preassure works well(I used the bar from he jack)

-have a friend help you out and buy them beer & pizza afterwards

-recheck every bolt you touched and rebleed the brakes at least twice before you drive it.

You can't. They aren't long enough. You need '96-00 Civic rear LCAs.

Did the swap myself to 94 GSR brakes, you need to keep your stock LCAs from your EK, and I reused my prop valve...

Good luck!
