rear disk conversion cost??????
if someone to go and get a rerar disk conversion done on there civic how much do you guys think it would cost or if there is anyone that has got it done professionally how much did you spend or how much did you charge if you did it for someone? thx

dude you live in california, JDM Land.
i paid 150 for my parts, but i did the installation myself.
i heard some shops parts and installation will cost you around 5.

parts should be 150 - 300 depending on where you get them and the condition.
you can do it yourself, there are a couple of how to's on here and it's pretty straight forward.

94-01 dc2 rear brakes (complete asembly w/ ebrake cables) youll also need the brake master cylinder, brake booster, and brake prop valve.
94-95 eg ex coupes a/t wit habs will have it as well,
92-95 eg si hatch

500 for a rear disc install thats insane. 200 is the max anyone should pay for this swap and even then you could spend the 200 on tools, jack and jackstand and do it yourself. But then again some people dont have the places to do that, but still 500 is outrageous.

I just did mine a few months ago, piece of cake... complete Si rear suspension including trailing arms, hubs, compensator arms, lower and upper control arms, sway bar, e-brake cables, the whole 9 yards. $300 shipped to my house, but that was only because the damn box weighed like 80 lbs.
EDIT: frozen bolts are BASTARDS. Had to cut, grind, and drill 5 of them out... took me like 8 days just for that. TIP: use anti-seize compound when reinstalling bolts!

i got mine out of a local pull-a-part for $68 total, but i did have to take them out myself in the middle of a junk yard. also got a m/c another day at the same yard for $25.

It had everything I needed except new bolts for everything (to bolt arms together and into chassis). Had to order them through Honda so they got me pretty good there, but I would def recommend new hardware. If you were lucky that no bolts were frozen in place or snapped off, re-torquing them down is going to stress them and the next time they have to be removed, I highly doubt you will be so lucky a second time around.

ive done 2 rear swaps in eg hatchbacks. if you never done it before set aside a weekend because you will run into problems.
things you'll need:
parts: rear assemblies and ebrake cables. if you can get the whole trailing arm thats the easyest way to do it. i had to remount the brakes on the trailing arms on of both swaps. i did my car in a 10 hour turn by myself.
i did my swap with 99si parts. i got front and rear brakes, ebrake cables, master cylinder, booster cylinder and distributer valve for $300
and i did my friends with 91 integra parts. i didnt use the trailing arms from the car becuase the bushings were bad. but im almost certin they would mount right up.
brake fluid
tygon tubing for bleeding. you'll need a friend to help with this.
BP blaster- i cant stress this stuff enough i havnt broken a bolt off sence i started using the stuff. apply and wack the bolt with a havy mallet to brake the rust seal. apply again and give it 10 minutes. then try and remove the bolt. repeat as needed.
if you end up having to reuse your trailing arms you'll need impact tools. thats the only way to do it.

I picked up my complete swap, including trailing arms and parking brake cables off a teg, for $80 at a local junkyard and installed it myself. Then spent about another $60 on new rotors, pads, brakefluid, etc.

I picked up my conversion from a local junkyard for $250. It was the whole rear end off of the Integra, swaybar and all. So...
Trailing Arm Assembly: 250
New soft lines: Around 50
Pads: 20
Rotors: 30 for both
I'm assuming from your name you have a 96-00 civic so I believe you also need the ebrake cables from a 99-00 Si and the prop valve. This is like 200 from the dealer I think (correct me if I am wrong).
Don't forget to factor in brake fluid, antisieze (saves headaches later), and brake cleaner into your budget. Also borrow a set of line wrenches of buy some. Replacing fittings/lines isn't fun at all.
There are quite a few good threads in the FAQ up top as well if you need a better parts list and help with the install.

PB Blaster, but close enough.
I got my rear disc brake set up for $300. Haven't installed them yet because I'm upgrading a few parts in the process, and it's colder then **** out right now.

I got mine for $50 from the junkyard, but new rotors and pads and lines and fluid were the killer. Dont mess with the bolts up frot too much if they are stuck: just cut em off... i didnt and the caged nut (inside the frame) came out of its cage and was rolling around in the frame..... I ended up having to cut it all out and weld in another frame/nut assembly, it sucked.
Oh yeah, and if your gonna do it, do it right: replace the old with a bigger brake booster, master cylinder, and the correct dual prop valve.
