Rear disc swap conversion questions...
I was trying to do a rear disc swap, and the first thing i did was try to unbolt the fitting on the brakeline where the metal line meets the rubber one. That thing is tough as hell and I still havent gotten it out because I'm afraid of stripping it. i believe I used a 10mm open wrench to try to turn it but i can't. Is there a special tool needed, or do i need to bleed the entire brake system to get it loose? Hopefully someone who has done this can tell me, thanks... Jay

No he means a line wrench...
a combination wrech is open on one end and closed on the other...
I line wrech looks KIND OF like a closed end wrech but with JUST enough cut out to fit it over the brake lines.... it's so it grips all 6 sides of the nut surface instead of just 4.

wow, i didnt know that, thanks! i learned something new.
i didnt know if there was a line wrench, and the only wrench that was linear was a combination wrench, so thats what i thought he was referring to

Just did a disk conversion, this week on a 92, and the left rear gave me problems, ended up stripping it a little. The fitting was rusted pretty bad so I used some, rust free stuff and then took some vice grips to it. Popped right of then.

Isn't that just a flare nut wrench?
