Rear Disc conversion question
I have a '93 civic ex and want to chnge from rear drums to disc. The problem is that I don't know the full list of parts required or what other models (integra gsr, vtec del sol, ect.) could be used for replacement parts. Does anyone else know?

Re: Rear Disc conversion question (Jammer)
Someone correct me if i'm full of **** but didn't the EX come with disks in the rear? I know that the SI and LX did.
Anyway, what you need is the hub/training arm, the e-brake cables, and of course, the calipers and rotors. You should be able to find all that at any junk yard.
The only real dificulty with this swap is removing the bolts that hold the trailing arm to the rear LCA (they tend to seize in the bushing) and swapping the e-brake cables. Its not difficult really but its not a lot of fun either.

About the disc on an ex. Mine is a 4dr it's weird because it also doesn't have vtec on the engine cover but all of the manuel specs are for the vtec engine.

Hmm..... you should have the d16z6, check your block to see what number is on it. Its located just to the left of the exhaust manifold. Oh, and not all the EXs came with rear disks, only the more rare ABS EXs did.

Re: Rear Disc conversion question (92sleepR)
Earlier year ex's didn't have rear disc but had big drums. And not all LX's had rear disc either. Fact I have never seen a lx with rear disc stock but I could be wrong.
Technically you don't need the rear trailing arms either. Or the lower control arms though if you don't have mounting holes in yours example: (dx) Like mine it's a good option to get the lCA's from the ones with rear disc cause odd's are they had them.
Just use lots of pb blaster for a couple days on the bolts before you go to work and it should really help your cause.
