Default rear disc converison for my 98' hatch

I searched and 5 posts came up and confused me.

"ur gonna want to change out the mc and bb for increased pedal feel, but thats mostly up to ur preference. the prop valve however is gonna need to be swapped for the rear disc 4040 one. thats for brake balance"

This was copied from another post. I don't know what this 4040 thing he is talking about. I know mc is master cylinder but what is bb? Also what is the prop valve? I do have a 95' integra shell. It still has the rear trailing arms with the disc and caliper but no MC. So what exactly do I need to do to make this work? What do I have to change out? This is for a 98' hatch.

BB= brake booster
prop valve= proportionate valve

I'm not quite sure, but I think the rear trailing arms will swap over to an EK, you should just use everything from the Integra, and find a MC from someone on here

Well on a 96-00 Civic the Integra brake master cylinder most likely won't just bolt up with out re bending and re flaring the hard lines. I have a 99-00 Civic Si brake master cylinder and brake booster for my 96 civic hatch and it fits with no mods, I think that the 96-00 Civic EX brake master cylinder and brake booster are the same, but I am not sure. My Si master cylinder is a 7/8 inch witch is only a little bigger than the dx/cx/hx witch is a 13/16 inch. I also think that you can get away with using a 98 Integra Type R Brake master cylinder and brake booster with no mods, but I am not sure. I know one member on here has that setup on his 96-98 civic hatch and he said it bolted right up with no mods. Also you don't need to mess with changing the rear porportioning valve the 99-00 civic si valve has the same part numbers as the rest of the 96-00 civics from what I have seen. I am using mine and I know another guy in town that is using his on his 99 civic hatch with full GSR brake swap and no problems works just like it should. Well hope this helps.

Yeah it did a lot thanks. So all I have have to do is swap out the rear trailing arms and mc and bb right. Oh what about the e-brake? Does it bolt on?

you are going to need the e-brake cables too from the rear disc brakes.
