Rear Disc Brakes Question
I am installing new pads and have reset the piston (Had to use a large screwdriver as the block tool from AZ didnt quite fit well). So anyhow, does anyone have a picture or can tell me best on what orientation the piston has to be in order to line up with the pegs on the brake pad? I had it like this + but Im not sure if it is pinning the shoe against the rotor or its actually in the slot.

Re: Rear Disc Brakes Question
I have 93 Del Sol rear discs on my 98 Civic and the slots on the calipers dont line up with anything on the pads, the slots are just for the tool to turn the piston in. Pretty sure most all Civic/Integra rear discs are pretty much the same.

Well it says align it with the slot, so Im am taking it at face value where you have adjust the slot to accomodate for whatever circumstances there are?

Here is what happens to the pads if the pin on it does not line up with the slot on the caliper piston.
Notice the uneven wear

Re: Rear Disc Brakes Question
The piston just goes in and out. The pads wear more on the leading edge than the trailing edge. Just tighten them in enough to get the new pads onto the rotors and call it good. You're over thinking it, it's not that complicated. Relax, have a beer, and chill out.
