I believe the rear bumper will fit in just fine -- don't take my word for it, but as for the things you need for 99-00 front end conversion:

99-00 parts required:

Front Bumper
Hood Grille
Passenger + Driver Fenders
Both Headlights

yea i just picked up the following items today
front bumper ($70 with lip)
front oem si lip
hood (free from buddy)
L/R fenders ($24/each)
rear bumper ($48 will pick up this weekend)

all i need now are the grill and some headlights n fogs n im good to go.

by the way what is the difference between the si grill and other oem grills? i went n picked up some after market fenders for $24/each brand new but i asked if he had the grill he told me that only the ex/dx/lx/hx... ones were available in after market but not the si? can anyone clarify this for me? thanks again.

You left the hood off of the list.

oh, so i may not even need the grill then. i purchased this one from a guy on ebay in canada and he claimed it to be for a 96-98 civic but it didnt line up to my 97 bumper...

does that look right for the 99-00?

I cant tell directly from the picture although the upper corners of the grille seem to be more aggressive than the 96-98 grille which is a little bit less sharp of a curve. I would assume that if the grille didnt line up to your 96-98 grille then it must be for a 99-00.

Does it say anything on the box about what it is intended for?

It looks a lot like the '96-'98 one to me.

The '99-'00 one is wider than the '96-'98. Besides that, the painted shell is thicker on the '96-'98s.

well thats the thing it didnt fit my 97 ex coupe front bumper. it sat wierd on it. i tested it on the 00 si front bumper and it was way too short. could it be that the guy i bought it from was in canada? and on the back side its stamped canada.

That grille was made in Canada.

96-00 2DR - Made in US
96-00 3DR - Made in Canada
96,98-00 4DR - Made in Canada/Japan/US
97 4DR - Made in US

The '99-'00 grilles are much less wide. It's probably a '96-'98 grille. If it sat weird it might have not been entirely installed (all the screws and the clips).

After seein the pics NOFX posted, it does look like the 96-98. If it is OEM then I agree with NOFX in the fact that you probably didnt completely install it.

Oh, and look at the space around the H. There's a lot more room around it on the '99-'00. On the '96-'98 the shell is almost right against the edge of the H.

i had the bumper off the car. the grill wouldnt fall into place on the lower clips where my stock grill was at. but oh well. my other question is this:
are there any visual differnces between the rear bumper on the 96-98 and the 99-00?

i ask this because im getting ready to do the conversion and thinking wether or not to buy a 96-98 rear bumper or just get the 99-00 rear bumper thanks again guys.

Yes, there is. There's a slight lip along the bottom of the '99-'00.

On the '96-'98 the bumper just dips underneath. On the '99-'00 it dips under, then comes out and then dips under again.
