Rear big brake question!
Ok, i've sat here day after day...research this and this. this sucks *****!!!
i recently got SSBC rear big brake kit. looks nice and all, but the son of bitchs didnt give me a Parking brake/Emergency cable!
http://www.ssbrakes.com/produc...=2000
Cost a lot and hurts too. damn it, damn!
here are pics:
left is civic drum and right is integra disc.
As you can see, the parking brake needs a ball like thing to hook on. there is no way i can use the integra cable, b/c the end is diff. i would hack it up, but its a waste of good cables. i rather buy new 1s. any ideas??? i need a parking brake please!!!!!!!

I think you just have the cable routed wrong. The civic cable should work. It looks to me like you just have to route the cable through that hole and hook it on.
If it doesn't look like it is going to reach, release the parking brake and adjust them all the way out that should give you enough play to hook it up.
Hope I could be of some help, and good luck.

I tried everything already. I routed the cable over/under the spindal part, wont reach for anything. As for the parking brake, it was down...short about 5"

how about contacting the maker and ask if they were supposed to supply you new cables? it does look like the cable is routed the wrong way.
i think it supposed to go through that little hole inside the red circle.

I have Integra rear disk on my EK. I when out to look at it, the spring for the parking brake is above the caliber.
I think thats your problem wrong caliber for the wrong side.

I have the Baer big brake kit on my civic. The parking brake cable connection is on the bottom side of the caliper. I just hooked up a parking brake after running without one for a year. I bought a Lokar universal kit and corvette clevis kit, since the Baer kit uses corvette style calipers. I was able to hook those cables to the caliper and had to do some rigging and got the cables connected to the Honda brake handle.
You just need to do a custom setup. None of the big brake kits on the rear are able to use the stock cables unless they actually advertise that they do.

Can you take pictures? also, i think you guys might be right too. it does look like i put them on the wrong side, but on the calipers it says r and l...so i thought it was like honda. i am going to try to flip them, but isnt the bleeder valve to be on top?

Good point, the Driver side is Left and Passenger side is Right
Also don't think it matters where the bleeder nut is as long as its on the caliber

The cables were about $85 or so from http://www.summitracing.com The clevis's were another $20, but you would need the ones that work with your calipers, probably have to find out from where you bought them.
