Default Realtime feedback via laptop possible?

I know there must be a way but couldnt find any posts through search. I have a chipped obd1 ecu thats for a 94 gsr b18c1. My question is how can I go about with a live feedback on engine performance. what wireing, connections, and software programs could I get? I dont know if there is some way to connect to the ecu with a special device? Please dont flame if this has been covered. I did search.

ya that type of thing but I was thinking realtime datalogging directly to the laptop. and not using the hondata if possible that is. thanks for your help though. if anybody knows of a way to connect directly to the ecu with laptop let me know. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVWhas anyone tried using this unichip programmer on say a obd1 chipped ecu?

I thought the Hondata S300 has datalogging in real time? I know my buddies K-pro does and the S300 program is almost identical. The S200 has no USB connection but I'm positive that to install the S300 you need to cut a port out in the ECU case to mount the data cable connection that connects directly to your laptops usb ports. Once it's all hooked up and loaded then you hit the datalog button and all the realtime info starts up. We had his K series SI tuned running in real time on a dyno recently, a very cool program IMO. (that was k-pro but like I said the S300 program is virtually identical)

You can use a P72 or P28 ecu and install the S300 system into it and you should be good to go with real time data on a laptop.

thanks for that informative post. That might be a route to go. If there is anyway to do it without buying all of that let me know. thanks. Im sure there are some electronically inclined people in here that would know how to wire in a usb connector to the ecu.

i run an s300 on my turbo d16. it does real time logging and can even log when a laptop is not connected. it will store it on the board and you can pull the data off later.

http://www.moates.net/hondalog-p-79.html it looks like this cable would give you realtime feedback on a laptop no? also they have a box that data logs and you can download to your computer later. http://www.moates.net/hulog-ho....html

Bah, ******* people. Hondata is garbage and overpriced.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by DelsolioGSR1996 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"> http://www.moates.net/hondalog-p-79.html it looks like this cable would give you realtime feedback on a laptop no? also they have a box that data logs and you can download to your computer later. http://www.moates.net/hulog-ho....html </TD></TR></TABLE>

You have the right idea. Either one of those will work fine, and since you already have a chipped ECU, you most likely have the datalogging port already soldered to the board.

After you get the cable that you just showed, you will need software to decode what your reading. Crome offers full data logging support and real-time tuning and auto-correction with CromePRO ($149, but WELL worth it). Crome is free.

thanks for the reply. I thought I was onto something there lol! Ya I dont want hondata uberdata or any of that crap(at least for now) I just want some real time logging just for fun now and maybe use it later to tune once I learn how. thanks again. (still laptop shopping @ the moment)
