Really strange question about a motor swap...
No forums for a early gen civic, so hopefully someone can help here.
Not completely focused ont his but it would definitely be strange!
Have a 1980 Honda Civic HB.. will a b18c fit in this? for the price of getting a newer civic i could get the engine and put it in here.. what kind of modifications would be necessary?
yah it's funny, but think about getting beaten in the 1/4 by a beater? total sleeper.. i probably wouldn't do this but it's nice to have options.. currently saving up for a 92-95 civic for a swap. anyways, you guys always seem to have the answer so thanks

it just bolts up huh??
It will fit...you'll just need to fabricate some engine mounts

Re: Really strange question about a motor swap...
really would fit? fabricated engine mounts are given.. and of course it would fit.. you can make almost any engine fit any car, it's just a matter of difficulty.. so basicly just engine mounts? no firewall cutting, tubs, or any other sheetmetal work? if any of you have pics or links to things about this i'd be interested. if it isn't too much work i may just try and find a b18 and mess around would be fun until i got a good car.

Re: Really strange question about a motor swap...
well holy ish.. that's a 4door but that's damn sweet. the 2 pics you posted aren't showing up. got any pics of the engine bay? i may actually do this now the great thing about this is you don't really have to worry about screwing up, cause the car is old anyways. and you could learn a lot.. it would be really interesting to see mine with no interior.. completely lightweight... any idea how much these cars weigh stock? the one we have is the semi-automatic version.. it doesn't idle and it sucks gas.. only started recently. all original, any idea what may be causing that? we're gonna get a carb kit for it. but once i get a steady job i'd like to start a project thanks for the info guys, especially CIVIC for the pics anyways.. i'll be hangin around these forums a lot.. so be nice to me see ya!
