you drive a honda, there's no such thing as torque; and if there was, then you'd need some more traction to go with it. what's your budget? what goals? your best bet is probably to save until you get your b series.

so how much torque did the b16 have?

maybe you could just deal with it for a year instead of flooring it everywhere

something like 111ft/lbs of torque, no much more than a d16 motor

Drop in a 383...

...or boost your engine... or run a nice shot of nitrous.

Boost it man, and save your money at this point.

No, not kidding. How can I say that? I own two Hondas, and hang out with plenty of other Honda drivers.

turbo b20, if b20 swaps are legal where you are. i hear they aren't in california.

tons of people will say this is a bad idea and it'll blow the motor up. but most of them just heard that from some other guy who heard it from the guy who can't build strong motors. and if you still don't like that do an LS turbo. this is where the torque is.

or in and F2D set up. those are relatively cheap and if you do your research and pay attention it's not all that hard either.

you're right to want torque though. you know what they say, "torque wins races."

That's because a b20 is from a HONDA CRV, which falls under the category of a light truck. YOu can't legally swap a motor from a truck into a sport compact car in Cali.

More displacement = more torque. But you won't get far even with boring. Honda motors ftl.

Boost or get a B18B or B20. Those have decent torque #'s and good HP numbers relative to torque.
