really bad ping or bad noise
Will trying to start your car when the timing is way off, screw up your valves ?cause i made my timing perfect at the crank and cam and i still have this terrible sound at high rpm and when i drive a gear high or bog it, sounds like a chain is floating around insinde my engine, so does this mean i need to do a valve job? Please help me out. For people who didn't read my other post, my brother screwed with my car one weekend and he screwed with my cam gear, and my car wouldn't even start, so i fixed it and now this is whats wrong.

are your timing marks at tdc? how does it idle? is the noise only at high rpms?
