Yep, it's supposed to have the same texture as the valve cover. The color should also be an almost exact match to the oem Type R valve covers as well.

the color match ...... but it doesnt seem to be the wrinkle red. it's kind of bumpy.

That kinda looks like it was painted to "look like" the real CTR strut tower bar. I believe the real-deal CTR bar is thicker than the black GS-R counterpart. Compare the two if you have the chance, that should solve your problem.

Looks fake to me. That's a different texture of powder coating. It's a coarse texture, when the real one is a wrinkle texture. I used to be a lab technician in a powder coating manufacturing plant, so I know my stuff when it comes to powder coating. I'm pretty sure that's fake. Not only is the texture wrong, but it seems a bit too glossy also.

I had the chance to compare the two @ TRS (their yellow CTR). Bar diameter and everything else besides the paint is the same.
I actually own both.
The one in the pic looks fake. The only way to tell is to look at the ends of both next to each other.
