Reading about 1/4 times...
I just read that a stock RSX Type S only pulls a 16.1 down the drag. I did a search here on HT, and peeps say low 15's tp high 14's with a few mods.
I read the 16.1 time from SCC. Is that really an acturate time? I mean low 16's for a stock RSX that has 172whp. My D16Z6 pulled a 15.8 down the strip.
I need some input here, cause I can't belive my SOHC is faster on the 1/4 mile. Would SCC be that far off? I still wouldn't even of tried to race an RSX with my D16Z6 w/o the turbo. Now I'm temped to rev on the next one I see.

Just said it was tempting too rev one on, on the street.
If these times are ture, I'd rather have my 1/4 mile time next to his on the board at the track.

SCC always has high times on all their cars. They must do testing different or something. Even car mags like C&D have put the car in the high 14's. I personally saw my friends Type S with AEM intake run 9.6 in the 1/8th so that's a good high 14 second 1/4. But from a roll or in a side by side race the Type S will most likely walk on you.

also in the article i think they said it was well over 100 degrees outside and that it was affecting the cars performance pretty badly.

yeah they are slow as hell. This guy had a type S with mods and couldnt break a 10.3 (1/8) to save his life. SOHC ex's with just boltons whooped his a$$ all night. There was another type S that night that ran like 10.7's stock.

We have a guy here that runs very consistant 15.0 Haven't seen any 14's out of it personally, but he is very close. I could definitely see 16.1 on a extremely hot day. on SCC
