RE: 95 Honda Civic Speedometer problem
Hi, I have a 95 Honda Civic that has been giving me speedometer problems for a while now. When I'm driving in town about 30mph it registers at about 120mph, it also fluctuates at times - it'll go down to zero while I'm driving and then go back up. Right now it's stuck at zero and won't move. I want to know if the problem is with the clock or with the sensor on the transmission? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Why are there SO many threads about speedometers not working. This is the most asked question on this damn forum. When its at ZERO give the cluster a wack if the needle moves, its your cluster. If it doesnt check the connections to the VSS. If those are good, look in your service manual on how to check to see what kind of signal the VSS is putting out. If its not high enough replace the VSS.
