Rc injectors fitment problem

So im working on my car. turbo b20v with b16a2 head. Well the injectors wont fit into the seal on the intake manifold. When i went to buy the injectors they said b series. not really a specific engine so you would think they fit into a b16 intake manifold. well they dont. even with oil, the injectors are too fat. Someone suggested they are gsr injectors and on si injectors. since they are labeled "b series" can i just change the intake manifold o-ring from a gsr intake and fit it on the si intake? Was wondering if that would solve my problem. so i dont have to buy different injectors.

yea, get different o rings. Use vaseline when assembling them together so u dont F up the seals

I just went through this.

1- take out all 4 rubber grommets that sit inside the intake manifold
2- get yourself a dremmel with sand paper rolls
3 - start sanding till the injector fits in ( I was lucky and the bigger sandroll was exaclty the size I needed to fit the RC injector.
4- wash with soap the 4 rubber grommets ( to get all residues off )
5- put some oil on it and install in intake manifold
6 - install injector

I used something like this

If you dont trust your DIY skills you can purchase the correct ones from RC as the kits come with them , when purchased new I believe.

Re: Rc injectors fitment problem

does the injector have a o-ring at the bottom? if so thats the seal. if you look at the stock injectors they dont have that o-ring. the injectors use a diiferent seal and yours already have them on. pm me a pic just to be sure i rarely check this section.

while this may work, i dont reccomend it. please follow the instructions from RC themselves. the injectors are SUPPOSE to sit on top of the seal. they wont leak. here's the instructions for you...

only reason i have this is because i freaked a few years back when i was doing my install. had the exact same question. called them and they emailed over a word doc with the info. i have a copy on my hard drive and this one was hosted on photobucket so i post it up whenever needed

Wow lol i was supprised to get a bunch of fast replys  I did not recieve any new o-rings so i just assumed that it would slide past the o-ring. well i will cal RC and maybe they can send me some new o-rings. if they wont, then i will try the dremel. Thanks for the good fast info

RC can get you the correct seals, no need for a dremel.
