Default Rattle sound at 2500 rpm in neutral and in gear

Yesterday I change my tranny with a used new one did my flywheel and clutch kit from compition stage 2 with upgraded plate. I also got the lightweight steel flywheel
Now there's a sound at 2500rpm and it seems to only be at that rpm in gear or in neutral
It sounds like its comming from the tranny and is loud under the car?

Input/mainshaft bearing in the transmission is toast.

And would a shaft beating make noise even when not in gear

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Seriously, I've seen some of them go a long time and do no other damage, sometimes they don't last that long and make a mess of the mainshaft.

Yes.

The bearing is about $20 figure another $5 or so for the seal that goes under it and $20 for a tube of Hondabond. It basically requires completely disassembling the trans, which isn't all that hard as long as you have a manual to go by.
