Rattle problem
I have a 95 civic dx with around 160,000 miles on the motor, and when the car hits around 3500 rpm there is a nasty rattle or like something buzzing from behind the motor. I put the car on the lift last summer and the shield around the cat-converter( i cant spell) was bent down on to it. So i cut that the peice that was dangling off and now when i shut my doors or go to 3500-4000 rpm the rattle comes back. Anybody know whats going on?

did you take off the entire heat sheild around the cat or just the piece that was hanging off. If could also be broken hangers. I would take it to another lift and check for sure.

Just the peice hanging down. It is driving me crazy. What hanger are you talking about. My exhaust hangers are only like a year old.
