Rattle from passenger side of engine bay @ 3500 rpm driving me crazy!

Rattle from passenger side of engine bay @ 3500 rpm driving me crazy!
At ~3500 RPM I get a huge rattle noise from right under my tranny, it sounds like. Normally I would assume rattle = exhaust heat shield hitting something, however I have a full aftermarket exhaust system (Stock header->magnaflow cat->mandrel bent piping) that has NO heat shields. It sounds like its coming from INSIDE the transmission
Anyone know what this might be? I had my girlfriend rev it while I looked at it from above and below and couldn't see a damn thing.
Is there anything in the tranny that would be making such a LOUD rattling noise? It sounds like metal on metal. I thought it would be more obvious as to whats rattling around down there but I'm having a really hard time finding it.
