rattle on my d16y8
Maybe there is something wrong with the way Honda made my car I dont know. But I just installed my SECOND set of headers ( 4-2-1 ) last night and same thing, they still rattle at certain rpms and at idle. The proble is where the is almost no clearance ( 20mm at most) where the headers come down between the oil pan and trans. Seems to be tapping and rattling against the trans.
So..solution. I was thinking about wrapping some theramal cloth around the bottom section of the headers. Is there any reason this wouldnt take care of it? Any ideas?
