Default Rant: Is there a lot of haters here or what? (addressed to no one in particular)

Hey All,

Normally I hang out in the FI forum, where almost all the guys are pretty cool. But in here there seems to be a lot of haters. I kinda find it amusing how much some of the peeps rip on bodykits and anything USDM.

No kits and orange sidemarkers... hmm.. i remember there was a time that this would have been considered "rice" and now "rice" is the opposite. I guess maybe I just dont get it. They all follow the current fads, first kits and euros, then no kit or OEM kits, anything JDM and orange side markers, whats next? In two-three years are those guys going to be on the next fad, and ripping on the guys who have done, or are still doing the current fad?

We all love cars, why cant we just appreciate it for that fact. If something isnt ur taste, then just dont post. Honda-Tech is supposed to be a community of people who like cars, helping others who like cars. Lets try and keep it like that!

(EDIT: i am a typo king)

Everyone just has their own opinions. And it's easy to talk smack behind a computer monitor...

agreed, but why do some have to voice thier opinions in a demeaning way? it doesnt help anyone!

thats easy, a while back someone who (noone in particular) holds alot of respect here, started to bag, and since people seem to follow by example like a pack of sheep, the ball rolled down hill. now we have one of the most critical forums out there <not that i'm complaning> that sorta keeps a lid on things in some strange demeaning way.

The forced induction forum is fairly technical, which is why even the worst questions really are not that bad. This eg+civic/del sol forum is another story. Plus, this forum probably gets 3x the newbies. By the time they make there way into the FI forum, we`ve educated them w/ a little tough love . You should thank us hahah

what I do to my car is not related to you in any way. It's how I want to do it, and it's how I like it. Whether that's my Mugen rims or my sleeper exhaust. It's cool to give people suggestions about stuff, but yeah, don't be ripping on people. I haven't been flamed or whatever, I just feel that it pushes some people away. Probably 50 percent of the people in here had Altezzas on at one time or another( I never did), and now y'all are ripping on some kid who likes them!! That's his steez and let it be. To each his own, and to his own there's satisfaction. respect the hobby and do what you want.

Your venting will go unnoticed as usual. Don't take it personally.

its not entirely about hating.

someone posts pictures of their car, they are going to get comments.

You cant post a picture of your car and not expect negative comments.

But I do agree that a lot of people are asses about it.
