Default Ran My Turbo Sohc @ the track

My best run,

ET 1/4 Mile: 14.8729
Reaction Time: 0.8786
Speed 1/4 Mile: 96.8273
60ft. : 2.4097
330ft: 6.5660
1/8 Mile: 9.8301

It definately wasn't clean, I was on street tires, and spun all the way through first and second, then hit the rev limiter in 3rd, but still managed to break into the 14's

You might need to not only go with slicks but if you have not already, put some heavier rated springs on that car which will help from unloading the front tires and letting them spin so much.....

Also if you know what tire was spinning you could preload the front sway bar if you have one by using some washers in between the bar and mounting point.

D16y8 engine

And My springs do suck, but I am running kyb agx, I had them set to 8 (stiffest) in the back, and 2 (middle) in front, Would lowering the front to 1 have helped?

Slicks DEFINATELY would have helped, I have to launch around 3500 to 4000 in order to keep the turbo from lagging, and the stock tires just won't keep up.

I agree, It was my first time at the track, after I hit the dyno, I'm going for a test and tune night, I was just trying to orient myself to all the differant things you have to pay attention to. staging lights, reaction time, holding the correct rpm, while watching the tree....I had a lot of fun though, and I can't wait to better my launch, and dial my car in a little more

Put slicks on an SOHC and you won't be going down the track very many times... those transmissions are garbage, i KNOW from experience.

If you click on the link in my sig, I have listed the whole set up on my webpage.

You have to put in spark plugs two steps colder when you go turbo, other than that, Pretty much everything is stock.

Weak tranny? Well, I took mine apart (309 HP), and NO WEAR with 1.75 60 ft. times in a full interior 91 EX. I also used Phantom Grip and RedLine Super Duty Ultralite fluid....6000 rpm launches in d16a6. Motor not tuned all of the way at that....

I also have to disagree about the weak tranny, I think it's fine up to 300hp

I have a black coupe
