ran into a problem with my hood
well after painting my radiator support i put my bumper reinforcement back on bolted everything back up...i went to pop my hood and it wont open now,its like there is slack on that end and the hood latch stays out...
so anyways i figure i'd just pop it by tuggin a little on the cable in front but guess what that didnt work either...im guessing that i got my cable caught up between the radiator support and bumper reinforcement...so does anyone know how i would go about getting it popped open cause im due for a tune up and this is getting frustrating...thanks for any info and help

the cable is shielded which is why simply tugging on it doesn't do anything, you'd have to be able to get to the braided steel cable inside it to be able to tug pull it.
get a long skinny flat blade screw driver and a nice bright flashlight and flash through the grill and try to look inside the latch where you see the braided cable go and try to trip the latch with the screwdriver.
or break your upper grille opening and unbolt the latch from the radiator support, then pull the hood up and take the latch off.
have you had a friend pulling on the hood latch from inside the car while you're at the hood pushing and pulling on it at the latch? might not have had it adjusted properly so there's simply not enough or too much tension on it....might just need the extra help from your body pressure on it.
