Rain X as rust prevention?
Picked up some Rain-x the other day cause my idiot friends took off my passenger winshield wiper as "weight savings" (i cant wait to take parts off his Z)
Anyway i dont know if rainx is good on paint...or if this would work... but the common rust spots on the eg such as the rear quarter above the wheel...would some coating be solid protection?
Seems like a good concept...
Eric

i think paint should be fine for protection.

i wouldn't put it on paint, have you ever gotten any on the paint when doing your windows? it strips the wax right off!!
besides it smells like it has alcohol in it which probably isn't too good for the paint
