Radiator Qestion
I want to get a mishimoto radiator for my car, I have a 98 civic ex, auto d16y8. Does it matter if it is manaul or auto, are they universal like that? I have no knowledge of radiators.
Will this one work?

Re: Radiator Qestion (scootibum)
Auto's are dual core (one core for motor cooling and one for tranny fluid cooling), and manual are single core. It would be best to get a dual core (or auto radiator) if available.

Yes it does matter. if you have a manual car get either auto or manual. if its auto must get auto. For auto they have a line going into the tranny and motor while manal dosnt have fluid entering the tranny, so plug it if you decide to get a auto raidator with a manual car..

The core has nothing to do with it being automatic or not. The cores are actually the layers of water jackets within the radiator. So you could have a dual core manual radiator just as well as with an automatic.
The automatics just have vertically (usually) coiled tube that runs from bottom to top, or run the width of the radiator. The automatics could also be bigger as a result of the added cooling needed to cool the tranny, but there is no core dedicated to that singularly.
