Default Radiator fan works at first, then wont turn on.....

Well, this is a werid problem.

The radiator fan works at first, but after some driving around it wont turn on anymore. So far I have replaced:

-radiator fan
-ECT sensor
-fan relay
-fuse (has never burned out)

Everywhere I read on the cooling fan only points to the above areas and I can find anything that covers the issue I am having. Anyone got any more ideas on what's going on, or had the same problem I did?

No I haven't checked that, but the car will stay cool as long as the car is in motion. Its only whe the car comes to a stop that the temp starts climbing. The fan should be kicking on to cool things down, but it wont.

Except that the radiator fan isn't turning on.....I believe any car that starts running hot would have a radiator fan that will turn on at some point. I don't burn coolant, but when it gets hot it pushes coolant into the resivour and sometimes overflows it a little.

yep...was a headgasket problem. Just changed the headgasket on Monday and put in ARP studs. Running strong again!
