Default Radiator fan sensor question.

Hey guys i'm having trouble with my radiator fan not spinning.

1.) I was wondering what is the sensor that goes bad causing the fan to not spin and is it easily replacable?

2.) Does the thermostat have anything to do with the radiator fan turning on? because there is a small leak coming from the thermostat housing. nothing major, but it's leaking. I'm suspecting a gasket but i'm about to just get a new thermostat all together. Instead of replacing the entire thing, is there some internal parts that i could replace to make the thing good as new?

3.) What parts do i need in order to fix the leaky thermostat as well as just replacing all the sensors and stuff inside of the thermostat just for extra measures?

is that all i need?

the thermo switch is screwed into the thermostat housing.......the thermostat works when coolant gets to a certain temp then opens so it has nothing to do with fan turning on

okay another problem guys. Today i left the car on running for about 30 minutes again and i saw a little bit of steam coming off of the radiator. I dont know if it is steam from the small amount of fluid that is on the radiator fan or if its just steaming, but the resivour straw thing was starting to drip. I felt the bottom radiator hose and it wasn't hot so i turned the car off. And then i was working on something else and came back 5 minutes later and felt the bottom radiator hose and it was warm. I'm still wondering why my fan isn't turning on, anyone know of a sensor or something that tends to go bad?
