Default Radiator Cap / Radiator Leak?

Hi,
Since my rebuild I've had some coolant problems. Initially the motor was over heating. The problem was a a leaky water pump. So I replaced the pump, however that did not completely stop the smell of hot steamy radiator fluid coming from the engine compartment. It did fix the over heating issue.

I checked around the water pump and verified that the leak was in fact fixed. I checked the back side of the motor, oil cooler hoses, heater hoses, and other misc coolant lines, and I don't see any wetness. I checked the radiator, and it also looks dry. However when the motor is good and hot I get nice wiffs of musky smelling radiator fluid around the radiator. When I stop while driving I also sit in a nice cloud of vaporized radiator fluid smell.

Without clear indication of a leak I'm thinking that perhaps the radiator cap is faulty. Thing is I would think I'd be seeing steam if it was, but I'm not. Even the fluid levels are staying constant. I haven't had to add any coolant to it in the past 3 weeks. It's measuring full.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking of visiting a junk yard and trying a different cap to see if that solves the issue.

Here's the setup:
Rebuilt B18C ITR
eGay 1/2 sized double layer Aluminum radiator
Gates racing hoses mixed with OEM hoses
