radiator blew after motor swap, what cause it?

Default radiator blew after motor swap, what cause it?

this is a stock 97 dx radiator, i ran this with my b16a for a year and a half and it was ok, then last week i drop a b18c1 a week later the radiator is gone. i went to autozone and bought one for a 94-97 del sol dohc vtech its seems to be thicker. also i notice it has two small pipe sticking out from the bottom, i dunno what it is?
anyone out there using this one? if so , how is it?

i have the same rad. in my eg. the extra pipes are for cooling tranny fluid on automatic models. cap em off and ur good. (nothing will leak, u just wanna keep stuff from getting in). dunno why the swap would blow ur rad tho.

did you happen to install a new radiator cap when you did the swap? how long after the swap did it happen?
