Default Racing Harness

Before i even start, i dont need negative comments telling me why i dont need it and so on

Car is a 1992 civic hatchback

I just got my Sabelt harness but the lap belt requires the use of eye bolts. With my last harness i used the factory lap belt bolts locations(Right side bolted to my sparco seat, left side to the chassis where stock seat belt bolts)

How have other people used eye bolts on there hondas, or whats the thread pitch on the seat belt bolt. Have to order the bolts, local stores dont even sell eye bolts -_-

You seriously considered trusting your LIFE to hardware store-quality eyebolts? You must be high.

All of your car's safety equipment works as a system. Removing or replacing one part necessitates that you replace all other related parts as well. If you aren't planning on running a full 5+ point, fixed bucket, removed airbag, cage, and a helmet at all times, just stop now. You're only risking your own life, as well as the life of your passengers.

He didn't want negativism.
I'm just wondering how he can't look up part numbers to learn the correct thread pitch since that's essentially what he's asking us to do.

Then he may have come to the wrong neighborhood, just sayin'.

OP, we don't do illegal advice, we don't do halfass advice, and we don't do stupid advice. You're 2 for 3.

Grade 8 eyebolts are hard to find. I work at a Menards, which in the midwest is a direct competitor to home depot and lowes.

And the OP is full of **** that he can't find eyebolts.

grade 10 is ideal there's stores like fasten-all that carry specialty bolts that's where I've gone in the past.

Opie why don't you ask Sabelt what they recommend for fasteners? You could even browse their site for answers...

Many of the people who call this place Hater-Tech are also the ones who aren't thinking through their own questions enough. YaknowwhatImean?

HTF is it that you cannot find this information? Even if you cannot locate on the net the next best thing would be to take a regular Honda bolt into the damn store. 1.5 or 1.25. Pick one.

Wondering why you just didn't do that in the first place instead of wasting time posting this thread.

Nothing wrong with grade 8, until we're talking about hardware for critical safety equipment. Snap/shear loads will rip a grade 8 in half. OEM bolts are specifically designed to take the abuse up to the point that said abuse would kill you. Generic parts store bolts aren't.

OP, no one gives a **** how much you work. Your 12s are cute, though - you can use work hours as an excuse when you're like myself, as well as a number of other members here, who work 80+ hours a week, plus college time. Since you're a lazy ****, read this, then such it up and learn how to search.

More than likely he has the belts looping over the front seat and bolted straight down to the rear seat bracket bolts. Damn death trap

Well I didn't see it in the pictured when you crashed? You've seen me drive before? kinda weird when we live no where near each other. I never said they where rice, I just don't like how unstable they are compared to a fixed bucket seat
