There are a lot of choices to choose from.

Your stock OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) exhaust would obviously be the quietest. But, if your looking to upgrade... which it says turbo in your sig then I'm guessing you want a quiet, turbo cat-back exhaust system.

For a full cat-back exhaust the choices above are fine. The Apexi World Sport is chambered and not straight through so it is probably the quietest compared to most other aftermarket exhaust systems. However, it is restrictive and doesn't have the same optimal flow characteristics as the other aftermarket exhaust systems. It simply gives slightly more gains over stock.

But, for turbo, a straight through muffler would be better. They are louder but if there is a good resonator then it wouldn't be much louder than the Apexi WS. For turbo, it is okay to use 2.5" (inch) piping depending on the power being made. Usually 3" piping is the better choice again depending on your turbo'd motors power.

To learn about chambered and straight through exhausts, resonators, piping and basically everything about exhuast systems check out http://www.howstuffworks.com

yeah, I would go with a stock looking muffler with the bigger piping. this one you can either get 2.25-2.5in. and you can just paint it black so the cops dont look under your hood when your at a gas station for a performance exhaust

Apexi Worldsport!!

I had one on my 00 hatch and one on my 94 hatch. It's pretty much the quietest aftermarket exhaust you can buy.

Hmm, I wouldn't get WS on a turbocharged car, if you are serious about boosting.

I'd say go to your local muffler shop (if you have a good one, ie NOT midas) and have them make a 2.5" catback for you with a resonator and a magnaflow muffler (or you can just order a muffler online of your choice, i prefer magnaflow because it is quality and inexpensive). That is what I have done for all my cars, it costs 1/2 as much as a 'brand name' exhaust that is exactly the same (if you get mandrel bent piping on your custom exhaust).

Lots of parentheses

edit: Also if you want to go even larger if you DO go turbo, like a 3" system, then you wouldn't be losing as much money when you dumped your old exhaust. Turbos love big exhausts!
