QuickHatch Is Dead!! (The Real Post)
On 12/31/03 at 8:10p.m. my car was the victum of a hit and run!! I was inside my friends house across the street. By the time we ran outside the van was down the block, but luckily my other friends a few doors down saw the van pull into a driveway. I followed it and called the cops, they came and took statements and everything. At this time I walked back to my car to really look at what had happened. My car was hit in the left rear, it was pushed about 35ft. up the curb and into someones front yard. It just missed a tree, the back of my car is almost in the back seat! My rim split in half instantly and left a mark on the street from the flat tire. The car was hit so hard that my deck came out of the dash and it was mounted, the only thing holding it was the wiring. So that was the end of my year, and maybe the Hatch. My insurance will let me know just now bad it is in a few days, I will keep you all posted and put up pictures when I get them on Monday I think.

What a bummer.
Paranoid. I always park as close to the curb as I can thinking it would help cuz its out of the way more.
Sounds like he would have still hit you though even if you had 2 wheels up on the curb.
Good luck with the insurance and if they stiff you try taking them to court.

werd. I got hit by a drunk driver and my insurance expired a week before the accident.
