Default quick tranny question

alrite, i'm trying to finish up my swap here, and i'm about to drop in a b18b in an ek. I'm picking up a cable tranny with a cable to hydro conversion on it already. My question is can I use the stock clutch and flywheel that already came with my motor? They are from a hydro tranny. Would the cable tranny just bolt up to the longblock? If not, what would I have to change?
Also, what else do I need to do to the tranny to make it work with my hydro chassis?

what's different is the tranny. they bolt to the block, they are the same.

Hasport makes a mount conversion for this setup in your vehicle. The part # is EKCC. Your hydro clutch and flywheel will work just fine. The only difference in the 88-01 b series Clutch kits are the throw out bearings.
Hope this helps bud!

cool, but from what i've been hearing, to make it work I would need a 90-93 integ clutch disc? is this right?

wow, you reply fast.
as for the clutch disc, never heard of it. if that was the case, what would happen if you ordered up a clutch master? i highly doubt they will mix up clutch parts.

but i was under the impression that all b-series parts are the same (atleast for this topic).

alrite, hopefully its right. if not, imma go e-thug on you.. lol
one more question, how does the whole hydro to cable setup work? the person i'm gonna pick up the tranny from doesn't know exactly what it is, he just knows its converted..
and would my regular bseries mounts work with it?

e-thug huh. i couldn't tell you how it works. i never dealt with one. but i would imagine it would be similar to a stock set up. couldn't tell you though if it would bolt to your stock plumbing.

as for the mounts, if both are from a b-series tranny then yes it would work.

i went ahead and did a search in your category and i guess you do need to replace the motor mount. i guess they are different for the cable trannies, unless it just comes with the kit since it's from hasport.

any way scroll through the link, you should be able to find what you need:

good luck.
