Quick Tranny Fluid Question... SEARCH IS DOWN
Well, I'm almost positive but I wanted to make sure.
The MTF can be poured in by unscrewing the VSS correct?
Search is down so I couldnt check.

Re: Quick Tranny Fluid Question... SEARCH IS DOWN (eL)
There is actually a fill and drain plug on the transmission. You need to use the fill plug when you add fluid or change in order to make sure you do not add to much. The correct way to do this is undo the drain plug .... put back in ... fill through fill plug with a piece of hose routed to it, add approx. 1.8 quarts. A tiny bit of fluid should drip out the fill plug when it stops you have the correct amount in there. Of course do this on a level surface. If you do not know the location of the plugs then get a helms manual.

completely right. why risk damaging the VSS? you don't know how much fluid you actually need unless you use the actual fill hole

It's not brain surgery guys. Putting oil in through the VSS will be fine...
Here, even "Mista Bone" says to do it that way, and he knows everything about tranny's... http://www.homemadeturbo.com/f...35048

If you damage the VSS from putting oil in your tranny you shouldn't be working on a car period lol. You unplug the fill hole and when it starts draining out you have the right amount of oil.

Just used the VSS to add the MTF
It didn't want to come off easily but a little tugging and pulling got it off nicely.
Thanks Mr.beerbongskickass

Re: (eL)
the vss is a piece of cakejust don't overfill. either get a helms and pour exactly that much in; or unscrew the fill plug on the side of the tranny and pour through the vss, when it starts to come out of the fill plug hole, you've added enough
