Default Quick tire review...help me choose

Well I just got some new shoes for my ride, 15's. I am looking for some high performance tires that are very well rated for wet/dry traction. I had khumo ecstas on and they sucked in the rain...decent, but alittle unsure at times.

I am watching an auction on ebay for a set of 4, nitto nt 450 extreme. They are going for dirt cheap and was wondering if anyone has had any experience w/ these tires.

Or what is a good set to go with that has high traction ratings for both wet/dry. No all weather tires I only drive the civic in the spring/summer/fall so snow/ice traction is of no concern

195/50/15's Thanks in advance

dude, you're living in the 1990's..
we all know that nittos FREAKING SUCK *****.

if you want a cheap tire that will last, and does well in both dry and wet,
get the yoko es100's.

don't expect them to grip like a race tire,
but they do grip quite well.

if you want extreme dry grip, you'll need something along the lines of azenis, potenza s03's, that level tire..
but don't expect good wet traction or good price(one or the other really..)

I only had my toyo proxes 4's for little over 2 months (1500miles) but they worked really well in the rain. The dry traction was good too.

How much do they cost per tire, and how are they with dry/wet traction?

I am looking for more traction for dry roads. I hate driving in the rain especially since I have no ac and the windows will fog up like a hot ***** is in the back seat panting

So more for the dry traction

I am searching, and I am almost convinced on the es100's.

keep the info coming

s03's you can get in 195 for 85 each from tirerack
tread wear is probly better than azenis, but not going to last as
long as some harder slipperyer tires..

s03's are a pretty high end tire,
they grip like nothing else, but then still perform well in bad wheather conditions,
only downside is the price and treadwear..
price aint too bad in 195-15 even..

actually was at clearance at like 73bucks for a couple weeks..

I really shoulda bought a set then..

EDIT: ****!! tirerack is offering 100rebate off s03's right now!!! haha !
I think i might pick up a set.. I dont even need new tires.. but I will eventually,
and thats a deal you can't beat..

That's pretty nuts. I was shopping for new tires a couple of weeks ago and I looked at so3's. They were 131 on one site and 149 on another

I'd go for those if you can get them for around 70 each. My buddy has them in his teg and his car STICKS to the road.

im pretty sure ziex's last way longer than so3's

and es100's are no doubt, better tires than ziex's but cost more and dont last as long.

ziex's are great cause they're CHEAP, GOOD, and LAST LONG.

The ziex's are 340 treadwear and the so-3's are 220 treadwear. You really can't compare those two tires because ziex's are all seasons (I think) and the so3's are MAX performance summer tires.

so you really can't suggest so3's as an option cause he clearly states

Here's the tirerack review of the so-3's:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...ition

Dry Traction: 9.3/10
Wet Traction: 8.8/10

It's a badass tire.

actually s03's are known to be one of the best rain tires out there.

I mean, I think an a really good allseason tire would be better if for when you
drive through a really deep puddle or something to prevent hydroplaning..

but in just normal water so3's will actually grip the road..

haha they probly grip better in the wet than zeix do in the dry
