I'm gonna seafoam my Si this friday . . .

if someone could kindly draw a circle around the brake booster line i should unplug



i've read plenty of DIYs but all of the brake booster lines look different and i just want to make sure i'm doing this **** right

Its the large vacuum line on the back of the mani that goes up and then curves right to the brake booster.

the biggest hose that connects to the back of your manifold that goes towards the driver side in front of your brake master cylinder.

okay, thats what i thought. i just wanted to make 100% sure, i'll take another picture . . to be 200% sure

So with that line, disconnect it from the master cylinder on the firewall, and let it soak up some seafoam right into the intake mani right? just double checking myself before i wreck myself

I did.. i actually viewed that thread, he said he wasnt sure if it was the same because of his GSR mani . . so i'm just double checking since i have a b16 mani

hahaha, ****. . HT now knows me as that guy! lol

i'll be doing a write up this friday, hopefully all goes well, i got an oil leak, so i plan to do the seafoam, and i go ta new oil pan gasket, gonna replace that and all new screws, hopefully that fixes it.. if not . . once i pay off my credit cards ima just send the hsit to honda and say fix it!

I know that our motors don't have that intermediate attatchment. Just follow the same line all the way to the firewall and pull the clip and then the line. When you pour the seafoam in, go slowly. Good luck.

Just pull the hose from the picture above. Measure 1/3 bottle and SLOWLY SLOWLY pour in. If you go too quick it'll bog down and sound as if you were sucking in water. It took me about 7 minutes to pour the 1/3 bottle in. Your idle WILL be jumping up and down, so don't worry. Turn the car off and let it sit.

Fortunately, I had NO smoke at all come out. I guess my piston tops are pretty clean.

I just did mine 4 days ago. 1/4 bottle in my oil, and the rest in my gas tank and intake manifold. I just used a vacuum line on the intake mani on by jdm b16. It smoked for like 15 mintues strait. My throttle response feels better and it seems i'm getting better gas milage.

EM1's have a check valve built into the hose. Not really hard to tell where it is. It's a hump in the hose. But yeah, do like everybody else already said. Either disconnect the hose from the brake booster or another thing you can so is to unhook the brake booster line from the intake manifold and use a small funnel to dump the fluid into the port that way.

Or hell, even better idea, just pull that little 1/4" line off your cruise control (actually off the little black plactic cylinder next to your clutch fluid cylinder and suck it in using that.
