32mm nut that can be removed with the end of a 3/8" ratchet

Behind it is the snapring that holds the transmission case to the mainshaft (or countershaft, I can't remember)

Tranny fluid comes out of it. If it leaks, your hosed. Needs to be fixed. New case usually.

$5 for the seal, you need a pry bar and socket set, remove the axle, carefully remove seal. Dont gouge the area around the seal. wipe the area dry and reinstall a new seal and then install your axle.

Oh wait buy a new tranny or case and do that first. Or cheap way out... spray the area around the red circle with engine cleaner, make sure its dry then apply devcon liberally, sealing the <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by BauleyCivic &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">32mm nut that can be removed with the end of a 3/8" ratchet</TD></TR></TABLE>

goodluck.
