Default Quick question need answer ASAP

Friend is getting a 2000 b16a2 swap for his 99 hatch (non vtec) and want's to know if it would be a compelte just plug and play type deal. The b16a2 swap is complete with axles, mounts etc.

Can he use the stock b16 mounts since 99-00 em1 come with b16a2's from the factory and the bodies are the same?

Thanks.

He will have to wire vtec but i think that's about it...as far as mounts i'm pretty sure he just uses the b16 mounts.

No one has done this..?

I'm 99% sure it'll work since the front ends are identical, just need to be 100% so he can go ahead and buy mounts if necessary.

Ohhh what do you mean by stock b16 mounts? the mounts stock on the non vtec motor? those wont work cause its for a d series. if its b series mounts, they will work.

Yeah I'm talking about the mounts from the b16.

So he just can use b16 mounts and ecu and it'll be fine? +wiring up vtec.

plug n play just add vtec wire, knock sensor. he can retain his 2 top mounts but he needs the other 3 from the b16. He can use the 99-00 engine harness or use his stock one and add the vtec wires. Use the p2t ecu from 99-00 si also.

So it would be just easier to use all the mounts from the b16?

Thanks
