when using air tools and for example a spray gun what type of air compressor do you use? how much do they usually run you guys and where could i get one... appreciate your time..

i use a small compressor and tank (about 5hp and 25gallon). for spray gun you're required something with much larger tank.

look around in homedepot, price costco, walmart. get something thats at least 6hp and has a 50+ gallon tank, if you're doing alot of painting and will not move it alot (with that comes space, something I lacked))

price in $300-1000 range for compressor. tools will depend on type and basic quality

I have a 60 gallon compressor from sear and this thing rocks. It works great for da tools for bodywork, I would highly reccomend this size compressor to anyone.

for a spray gun, you want AT LEAST a 60 gallon tank... You can get by with air tools on a 25 gallon tank... I personally use either a Cambell Hussfield 200 gallon compressor, or an Ingersoll Rand 200 gallon compressor, depending on which shop i'm at...

And also, if your gonna paint, make sure you have a regulator, and a water filter installed, or your gonna get spits of water in the paint.
