Default Quick Question ---Eibach Sportline Springs

Im looking at picking up this EK in about two weeks and its bone stock...The first thing I would like to do is lower it...

I've been looking into springs first because I can't really afford Springs & Struts or Full coilovers right away...

I've decided to go with the Eibach Sportline springs - I was wondering though, it says they lower the vehice 1.75" - 2.25". What will i have to do to get the lowest height without getting adjustable struts?? Will they just eventually settle to 2.25" or...? I've never really understood this so thats why I'm asking....

---I did try and search but nothing informative really came up....

Thanks in advance for any help...

look forward to a serious slam look:good BUT also look for some street scraping from the underbody and last look forward to replacing your tires due to the negative camber you just achieved from slaming it.

answer to these problems: I wouldn't drop it more then 1.8", get yourself a good set of camber kit, and buy some quality struts, since those stocks won't last very long with a drop that much. just my .02

Sportlines get mixed reviews, because the front springs usually sit higher than the rear springs, for some odd reason, so the car looks retarded with the front higher than the rear..... And some look perfect... I personally wouldnt go lower than 2" if you drop lower than 2" you might want to get a camber kit, but you dont have to... but if you drop lower than 1.5" you will need to get new springs/struts... because the stock ones will not last for very long...

man ground contols are only about 250$, they use eibach springs, you can get custom rates, and are height adjustable. just save up alittle longer.

Thanks for all the replies...How bout Koni Yellow Adjustable shocks with the Eibach springs? A kid I know has them on his 97 Coupe and its lowered 2.25 and he said the ride is pretty good for being that low....

I think im gunna get the springs...and within a couple months ill have enough for the shocks...

i think alot of people wouldnt go with the sportlines..only cuz of the front being higher than the rear..*retard d looking*..but since u seem to have ur heart set on them..be sure to get a decent set of shocks and a camber kit..its a must for any drop below 1 1/2"..its bound to settle even more leaving a a huge negative camber to deal with

the camber is really not that bad with the sportlines. my buddy has them on his 2000 EX and hasn't had any camber where problems.
other than that, i still don't lie his front being higher than the back.
