Default Quick Question About turbos

I'm looking to get a turbo and in the descriptions of the different turbos, it says it gives 750 horsepower at the flywheel. Is that how much horsepower the turbo adds to the car? If not about how much would it add?

Theres no turbo that will just simply bring you to 750 hp. It all depends in the tune/the setup/the build. and 750 hp to the flywheel would be around 600 whp, and that isn't easily achieved on honda's. it costs a LOT of money to get there.

It just means that its capable of 750hp ( / by 15-20% for wheel hp) but like said you need alot more parts and tuning to get to that.

To just summarize what everone said, those ratings are with "supporting" modifications. This includes anything and everything. Itll take more than just a 1000 dollar turbo to make 750hp.

very easy to find out, do a dyno before putting on turbo, then dyno after turbo, see the difference

Still missing the point. He thinks all he needs is a turbocharger and hes good. Still need manifold, downpipe, charge pipes, intercooler, wastegate, bov, etc, etc, etc

is it important to have a boost gauge when you have a turbo in the engine?

Only if you care about how much pressure your building and if you care about spiking. If you dont care about that "out of sight out of mind"
