Quick Question about speed limiters.
Does my D15B7 have one? My buddy's a tech at our local Honda dealership and says they NEVER put a speed limiter in a Civic in N.A. But at 190 kp/h (120 mp/h) the ignition shuts off. 5200 rpm in 5th gear. It's not the fuel cut BLAT!!BLAT!!BLAT!! sound, it's just a dead engine sound. When I back off a bit, it then regains power, up until 190 again.
Any thoughts?

Re: Quick Question about speed limiters. (VTEC CX)
This all stemmed from a recent road trip. I've got all the I/H/E crap, and some other stuff, and the car goes all right. We got passed by some guy in a beautiful E34 5 series, and then traffic let us catch up again. I've hit the limiter before and was told it was a lack of power. Anyways, we draft the BMW and are gaining REALLY FAST, and I'm thinking "HELL YES! WE'RE GONNA RIP BY THIS GUY!" BAM! Limiter kills the fun, even with a huge reduction in Aero load. Is it just my ECU or does this happen to anyone else?
