Default Quick question about exhaust

Hey everybody, I'm hoping you can help me out I have a 1999 civic Si EM1, and it's completely stock. I'm looking to get an exhaust system or muffler for sound, not necessarily performance. This is my DD, and I don't want to dump money into it for power gain I don't need (although if power happens to be part of the upgrade, I don't mind haha). It doesn't matter to me whether it's just a muffler or a new header, piping, etc. I was discussing this with some other people and after countless suggestions of Greddy tic's, someone suggested putting on the muffler from an '06 Si. He says that it should bolt on without any problems or modifications. After listening to it on YouTube, this sounds like just what I need. It sounds good and deep in the lower rpms, and when you gun it, it gives a nice loud tone without sounding like bees farting in a can haha. He said (I'm not sure if it's his car or a friend's) he found an '06 muffler at a Honda dealership that someone had extra from buying a car with custom exhaust. Has anyone done anything like this? If so, are there any DIY guides or should I get a shop to do it? Also, if I can't find one at a dealer, where would you look (besides eBay)?

If you can find one here in the states I would recommend a SR*S exhaust. I had their exhaust on a EJ1, DC2, and a good friend had one one his turbo EK hatch. Quiet as fu** but yet sounds amazing once you put the pedal down.

Yes I am. Who cares if I want to do something to my car that I want to do? I just want to have a little more fun with my dd a little more without spending a bunch of money to turn it into a track machine I'm not sticking some fart can on it like a 15 year old lol.

Also, thanks for the recommendations, but I'm looking for something on a tighter budget. I wouldn't mind shelling out the big bucks for something like that on a track car, I'm just looking for something for my dd That guy said he got an '06 muffler from a dealership for 75 bucks instead of spending $300+ on a name brand piece, and I was wondering if anyone here has done or seen that done before.

try more like 300$+ from the dealership heck my generic Megan N1 muffler cost more then that new. best bet is find one at a junk yard or some one parting out one.
