Default Quick question about a d16z6 (95 EX)

My brother just bought a 95 civic EX w/ 160,000... He wants to know if the timing belt breaks if it'll mess the whole engine up? will the valves and all that get mesed up or can you just put on a new belt and it'll be peachy or what? I'm not sure if the belts have ever been changed so you think he should get a new one or what?

Thanks a lot,
Semper Fi,
-Brent

Hondas are interference motors or whatever the term is. If it goes, then yea, there's a good chance you'll bend your valves.
